Using the slide builder

About the slide builder

The slide builder allows you to build your slideshow using a drag and drop interface.

There are many slide types to choose from, each with simple settings and built-in designs.  The slide builder is designed to help you focus on the content of your presentation, rather than design and layout.   If you would like more control over the layout, you can always import your slides from other presentation software.

Each slide type has the following common features:

  • Up and down arrows - Use the arrow icons to change the order of your slides. The title slide is always the first slide.

  • Slide dragger - Click and drag the “2 bars” icon between the up and down arrows to change the order of your slides by drag and drop.

  • Explainer text - This text appears below the slide in the Deepen mobile app.  It allows you to provide more context to audience members following along with Deepen.

  • Speaker notes - This text appears in your speaker notes which you download as a PDF via the export function.

  • Delete slide - Click the “X” icon on the right of any slide to delete it.
